Lanterns & Dragons!
I've been using my film camera (Nikon F5) for the last few outings I've been to recently. I'm still surprised at how well the photos come out even though I can't see the results. It took a bit getting use to, but now I'm back to being comfortable using just film... doesn't mean I'd let my Digital SLR sit around an collect dust though! :)
Anyways, the Chinese Lantern festival is in town and I'm trying to make some time to go check it out. I was lucky enough to be on the exhibition's grounds during daytime while I was partaking in the GWN Dragonboat competitions, and the lanterns did look great. At night time everything is lit up and supposedly a spectacle to see.
I've added a new project series - Dragonboating. Dragonboating is the fastest growing sport in the world, and is quite popular in Toronto. I was part of a team this year, and managed to take my camera along for some of the races and clicked away. My primary purpose was to race so I didn't take too many shots, but I think I got some photos I was happy with. I've placed some in the 'Projects' section of the Portfolio.
