3-2-1 CONTACT!
So Monday marked the start of CONTACT, Toronto's photography festival going on from May 1-31st. The theme this year is 'Imaging a Global Culture'. Photographers exhibit their work in and around Toronto - it could be anywhere - restaurants, stores, subways (with proper permission) and of course gallerys - and the CONTACT organization will advertise it and hopefully draw in the public :) It's a great opportunity for amateur and professional photographers alike to exhibit their work, and the best thing is it's free to the public. I love this city! :)
With us in the middle of Spring, I'm sure the festival will draw plenty of people out and about.
I'd definitely recommend checking it out. I will be, and I'll take my camera along too so I'll hopefully have some shots from the shows to post next time.
Their website is: http://www.contactphoto.com, while the actual event listings can be found here: http://www.contactphoto.com/calendar.php (click on the little '>>' after the descriptions to get more info for each event).
As for the title of this post - its the name of an old 80's kids show (with an awesome theme song btw) I enjoyed back in the day... but that's another story by itself :)
Have a great one!
