A New Beginning!
Well, I've finally gone live with two new sections to sasisphotography.com. It took me a couple of months to build the new format, and then integrate the new parts into the existing page, which is why this page hasn't been updated for the last month.
Note that if the navigation tabs above still only show 4 tabs, then you should refresh the browser to get the latest version of this page.
The first new section is called 'Articles'. Here, I'll put up various writings I might come up with about photography. I've also decided that I'll try and write up field reports from any of my photography projects, highlighting mistakes and what I may have learnt from the experience. Hopefully, this will help others from making the same mistakes! I think this may be a more interesting format than just posting pics with little captions. Also, I think an Articles section is a better way of putting up information about photography than using this blog. I'll still keep this blog updated with the latest on this page as well as quick side-notes on my week-to-week activities, but I'll post any significant photography reportings as articles in the Articles section.
Over the last year, I've received emails requesting information on prints. I was never set up to handle that, as this was pretty much a hobby I did just for myself. Any prints I made were given away free. But now I've decided I should put up a 'Prints' section to better organise and handle such requests, as well as charge the cost of making and shipping prints (ie. not for profit).
So, I hope these two sections add to this site, and hopefully keep the few people who visit here entertained just a little bit more than before.
The latest articles I've posted are:
1. A report on an engagement shoot I did at Toronto Island. The photos can be found in portfolios->projects, as well as a link at the end of the actual article.
2. A quick summary of the photography equipment I use and have used. Mind you, this is a draft so there are probably quite a few grammatical/vocabulary mistakes. Plus, I wanted to put up some pictures to snaz it up a bit, but haven't done so yet.
What else have I been up to? I did some glamour/fashion photos over the long weekend, and hope to make that the subject of my next field report. I'm still post-processing the over 8 GBs of photos I took, so it may be a couple more weeks before that's up.
Let me know if you have any opinions or suggestions on the new additions to the site.
That's all for now!
