Nature and photography

I love nature and in turn nature photography. Unfortunately, I've always been a city boy :( I enjoy being around people and this comes out in my photography I think - I have a lot more 'street' shots than landscapes in my porfolios, but I still enjoy browsing through nature photos when I have a chance. I watched An Inconvenient Truth recently and I think it's more important than ever to support nature photographers and their work, as many of them support and bring attention to the preservation of the environment with their work.

Here's a particularly amazing selection of photos from Nature Photographers Online Magazine. These are the editors Pick Awards 2006, and I think you'll agree with me that its a beautiful selection. Hopefully, such beautiful exhibits will inspire people to push themselves to preserve our natural environments for future generations.
